- If your modem doesn't have the new firmware and you can take it
- back, do so. Let the retailer wait 6-8 months for the upgrade, and
- buy from someone who is not selling off old stock.

- Be sure you really have the old version, though, before you
- complain. USR is shipping upgrades with 6-7 months old firmware (see
- other posts), so just because what you have is old doesn't mean that
- they will ship you anything newer.

- prepared to pay and wait. CUrrent delays posted on the net are
- running about 4 months.
